Retiring Abroad Series

20160518_072801

Right now, it might sound just like a fairy tale wish, but we want to make this work.  We would like to retire abroad–probably somewhere in France (more on that in the series).

While it would be simpler to “travel” abroad, even for months at a time, we are actually more interested in LIVING somewhere–having a small place we call home, getting to know neighbors, learning the customs and the language.

As we explore reasons for wanting to retire abroad, challenges we might face, red-tape we’ll surely have to cut through–as well as some triumphs along the way, hopefully–we thought it would be helpful (both for ourselves and for others) to record our steps along the way.  That way, others can have a guide for preparing themselves as well, and learn from our mistakes and possibly share some wisdom with us as well.

This is the page to get the entire “series” as we post more on the topic of preparing to retire abroad.  Of course, you can also get to these posts by going to “Category Archive: Retiring Abroad Series”:
